2016 AUTHENTIQUE Eola Springs Vineyard Heritage 1972 planting Pinot Noir
The Eola Springs Vineyard Heritage block pinot noir vines were planted in 1972. Hand picked, navite and spontaneous fermentation in 500L rotary fermentors for the softest extraction. Aged 16 months in once filled extra tight grain Troncais and racked only at bottling. Unfined and unfiltered. A beautiful play between fresh ripe fruit and savory notes. Old vine ethereal power. Cola spice, join red plum, cherry and a suggestion of rose petals on the nose, setting the stage for a balanced, beautifully structured palate, with savory notes of cardamom, sarsaparilla, porcini dust, and oolong tea alongside mouthwatering cherry fruit. So energetic; drink this now and for the next decade. Only a few cases remain.
